As part of the preparation of the evidence base to support the Local Development Framework the Council is required to prepare a Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA). The purpose of this document is to examine the potential for housing to be built on any land which might be suitable for development. A first draft was published in February 2009 alongside the Preferred Options Report. We received a number of comments and these have been incorporated into a revised draft which is available to view or download using the links below.
It is important to note that the report does not allocate any land but is merely a technical study. Sites can only be allocated through the Local Development Framework.
