The Planning Portal is the UK Government's online planning and building regulations resource for England and Wales. You can use the site to find out about planning and building regulations and to apply for planning permission. The Portal also has a very useful Glossary of planning terms.
Oxfordshire County Council Planning
The County Council deals with planning applications concerned with the management of waste or extraction of minerals. It is also responsible for the Oxfordshire Structure Plan - a strategy for the development and use of land in the county.
Communities and Local Government
Communities and Local Government sets UK policy on local government, housing, urban regeneration, planning and fire and rescue.
The Planning Inspectorate processes planning and enforcement appeals and holds inquiries into local development plans and Local Development Frameworks.
Planning Aid provides free, independent and professional town planning advice and support to communities and individuals who cannot afford to pay planning consultant fees. It complements the work of local planning authorities, but is wholly independent of them.
English Heritage is the Government's statutory adviser on the historic environment. English Heritage exists to protect and promote England's spectacular historic environment and ensure that its past is researched and understood.
Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE)
The CABE is the Government's advisor on architecture, urban design and public space.
