The Council operates a Direct Services Organisation (DSO) section which is based in a depot at Regis Challow Station, Challow.
The DSO teams carry out work throughout the Vale of White Horse and South Oxfordshire District Council areas. They offer a range of services including:
These services can be carried out for the public, for businesses and Parish Councils.
An Address Management Officer, which is part of DSO, is responsible for property and street naming and numbering, as well as for dealing with requests for temporary road closures within the District.
The DSO teams also provide vital services in times of flooding, including delivering sandbags to people whose homes are most at risk and building sandbag flood defences to protect areas threatened by flooding.
