In an area like the Vale which is home to a network of major rivers and smaller streams, flooding can happen from time to time.
When flooding happens the Council works closely with emergency services and partner authorities to ensure a co-ordinated response to the incident. The Council will always try to provide assistance to residents wherever possible. If you need help please contact the Council on 01235 520202 or 01235 524886 if you are calling about an emergency out of office hours.
There are also steps you can take yourself to help prepare against the risk of flooding. See the following pages prevention tips as well as advice on what to do if you are affected by a flood.
