Road safety
Oxfordshire County Council’s Road Safety, Education, Training and Publicity Team works with many agencies across the County, including the Vale of White Horse Community Safety Partnership, to reduce the number of road casualties.
The County Council has signed up to Government targets for the year 2010. These include:
- 40% reduction in fatal and serious injuries
- 50% reduction in fatal and serious injuries to children
- 10% reduction in slight casualty rate
Plus additional casualty reduction in Oxfordshire of:
- 10% reduction in all injuries to pedestrians
- 10% reduction in all injuries to pedal cycles
