Reporting racist incidents

Reporting racist incidents

  • Have you faced abuse from other people because of your ethnicity?
  • Has your property been damaged, or have you been on the receiving end of threatening or abusive behaviour because of the colour of your skin?

Please report racist incidents

This is not acceptable. You need to report these kinds of incidents so they can be stopped.

You can now report racist incidents yourself on-line at www.reportracismoxon.com. Alternatively, you can fill in a self-reporting card which you can pick up from your local library, community centre, church, mosque, district council or county council offices.

You can report a racist incident 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can also report any racist incidents you might have seen which involved other people.

The reports are sent to the Oxfordshire Racial Equality Council.

The Vale of White Horse District Council has helped to develop this new self reporting facility.

For further help and advice about reporting racist incidents, please contact the Oxfordshire Racial Equality Council (OREC) on 01865 791891.

Alternatively, you can report a non emergency incident directly to the Police using their True Vision website. This is a police-funded initiative to encourage the online reporting of hate incidents, including racial crimes.

In an emergency, always dial 999.
