The Youth Forum website

Youth Forum members have designed their own Vale Youth website to help keep other young people informed about Forum activities. 

The website was created after consultation at a Youth Forum about the Council’s website which was declared “boring” by young people. Following a series of workshops in 2004/05 the young people came up with ideas about how they wanted their website to look, and what infor mation they wanted to see on it.

The website, which is a sub-site of the county council youth website www.spired.com, aims to give young people in the Vale information about the Youth Forum. Forum agendas are available on the site as are details of what happened at previous meetings.

Young people can also use the website to comment on Council plans as well as local and national issues.

Two further workshops were held in 2007 for a group of Youth Forum representatives to work on re-designing the site, which they felt had become outdated. The newly designed site will be launched at the Youth Forum on 4 March 2008.
