Fly-tipping, litter and other envirocrimes

Part of the work of the Environmental Protection Team involves striving to improve the environmental quality of the Vale. The Team does this through a range of ways, from working to catch and prosecute people caught fly-tipping to issuing on-the-spot fines to people who leave litter, let their dogs foul in public places or carry out graffiti.

The Council’s environment warden works to raise awareness of how people can improve local environmental quality through community initiatives such as community litter-picks.
