Nomination deadline for business awards is fast approaching
People have just a few more days to get their nominations and applications in for this year’s South and Vale business awards.
South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse District Councils are holding their first joint business awards later this year and need everyone’s nominations in by midnight on 18 January.
Anyone can nominate their own business or nominate an organisation they know for the following categories:
- Large business of the year
- Employer of the year
- Early stage innovation award
- Established innovation award
- Social responsibility award
- Business leader of the year
- Business space of the year
- SME of the year
Visit the Vale4Business website to nominate a business and to find out more information on each category.
Cllr Paul Harrison, Cabinet Member for Development and Regeneration for South Oxfordshire said: “This is the first year I’ve been involved in the awards and I’ve been pleasantly surprised on how innovative and successful the businesses in our districts are. We can’t wait to give these organisations recognition of their achievements through these awards.”
Cllr Mike Murray, Cabinet Member for Development and Regeneration for Vale of White Horse said: “We’ve received more nominations than ever before, but that doesn’t mean we’ve stopped looking for stand out organisations that are thriving in our districts. If you run a business or know of one that deserves an award, go to our website and nominate before the deadline.”
Once the deadline has passed, all nominees will be invited to attend an exciting event on 1 February, where the shortlisted finalists for each of the categories will be announced. The business awards ceremony will take place at Williams F1 conference centre in Grove on 15 March.
Sponsors of the awards are Royds Withy King (lead sponsor), HSBC, Richardsons Group, Bluestream Recruitment, MSC R&D, FOCUS Oxford Risk Management, Hilton Garden Inn (Abingdon), Harwell, Milton Park and Better for Leisure.
