Residents from around the Vale flocked to White Horse Hill in Uffington on Sunday 24 September for the raising of the official London 2012 Olympics Flag.

Residents gather to form the Olympic rings

More than 200 people, including Air Cadets, Scouts, members of the press and Wantage Shooting Club’s 2012 Olympic hopeful Dan Rivers, as well as many interested onlookers, made the short walk to the top of White Horse Hill to witness the flag-raising and to take part in a human formation of the iconic Olympic Rings.
