Proposed waste incinerator

Plans to build an incinerator in the Vale need more work to convince the District Council.

The Council had raised objections at a meeting in November to plans from the Waste Recycling Group (WRG) to build an energy from waste incinerator between Sutton Courtenay and Appleford. The District Council is only a consultee on the proposals as the planning application will be determined by Oxfordshire County Council.

WRG has responded to the concerns raised but the Vale is still not satisfied, and has urged the County Council to conduct more research about the impact of the incinerator.
