Issues and Options

This is the first stage in the preparation of the Core Strategy and the Council published an issues and options document called 'Your Vale - Your Future' for public consultation in autumn 2007.

This report, which can be downloaded from the right of the page, set out some of the issues we think we will be facing in the future and some possible options for tackling them. 

The responses received as part of the public consultation will inform work on the next stage, which is the preparation of the preferred options.

There will be further opportunities for people to comment on the strategy as work progresses. Consultation on The Core Strategy issues and options document "Your Vale Your Future" was completed at the end of December 2007.

The comments received can be generally considered according to how and when they were made. In summary, these include:

• Responses to the questionnaire included in our residents newsletter Vale Views - for details of these responses please download the "Vale Views repsonses" document from the right.
• Feedback expressed at the four Area Forums held as part of the Your Vale Your Future consultation - for details of these responses please download the "Local Development Framework and Community Strategy Area Forums report" from the right of the page.
• Individual comments from organisations and individuals - a report summarising these responses called "Issues & Options Your Vale Your Future - summary of responses received" can be downloaded from the right of the page.

Paper copies of all the comments received can be inspected at the Abingdon Local Services Point.

The comments received helped inform the next stage which is the preparation of the Core Strategy Preferred Options.
