The Vale of White Horse Local Plan 2011 was adopted in July 2006 following a public inquiry by an independent inspector. The Plan incorporates the proposed modifications based on the recommendations of the Inspector's Report, which can be viewed and downloaded by following these links:
Until superseded by the Local Development Framework documents and the South East Plan, the Local Plan is part of the Development Plan.
Saved Policies
The final version of the South East Plan was published in May 2009. This means that all the Structure Plan saved policies that had been extended by the Secretary of State are no longer in force.
However with regard to the Oxfordshire Structure Plan 2016, policy T7 Service areas, policy H2 Upper Heyford and policy M2 Sand and gravel have been extended and have not been replaced by the South East Plan. Please download the Table which sets out which policies of the Oxfordshire Structure Plan have been replaced by which South East Plan policies.
With regard to the Local Plan, in a decision dated July 2009, the Secretary of State has directed the further extension of saved policies from the Local Plan. Please download the letter and notice to view these documents and Schedule 1 to view the policies.
