Before throwing good quality furniture away, please contact Oxfordshire Council for Voluntary Action who may be able to collect for re-housed families – for more information see Free disposal of furniture and electrical goods.
The Council's contractors can remove bulky items such as dining room tables, settees and beds for a charge. If you have to dispose of large items, the Council's contractors can arrange this and there will be a charge of £29.50 for up to three items and £6.35 per item after that.
Our contractors will contact you to arrange the specific collection day.
Alternatively you can take up to three bulky items to your nearest County waste recycling centre and leave them for free. A £1 charge is made for each subsequent item.
The Council can also arrange for collection of fridges and freezers. Please note that there is a charge of £23.10 per fridge or freezer requiring collection.
