The Council has a legal duty to collect normal household waste for landfill and to deliver it to disposal sites as designated by Oxfordshire County Council. Your rubbish can be put out in bins or bags. The Council does not supply wheelie bins or any other type of container.
Please try to dispose of your household rubbish thoughtfully. See these pages for information about to how to deal with a range of different types of waste. Also find out about the special collections of large or bulky items that the Council can provide.
For details about when your waste is collected please see our pages on Collections. We also collect recyclable materials in a green box (provided free), and garden and cardboard waste in a brown bin (£33 per year). See our Garden waste pages for more details about the brown bin scheme. Also have a look at our Recycling pages for ways in which your cast-offs can be re-used.
If you need any further advice about disposing of household waste please contact our Waste Management Team – see the contact details on the right.
