House to House and Street Collection Permits
A permit is required to undertake a house-to-house collection. This requirement is made in the House to House Collections Act 1939 as amended. must be submitted at least 28 days in advance of the collection date. Following the collection it is a requirement of the promoter to complete a and send it to the Licensing Team. No fee is payable.
All street collections need to be registered by the Council. This requirement is made in Section 5 of the Police, Factories etc (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1916 as amended.

Please contact the Licensing Team to check availability of collection dates. Certain locations will also require the permission of the landowner.
If you do not belong to the group you wish to collect for you must have a completed by the charity or group which must be submitted with your application form. This certificate must say that they agree to you collecting for them and be provided for each calendar year.
