To sell any goods or items in a street, car park or other area which is open to the public to access without payment, you will need a street trading consent.

If you wish to apply for a street trading consent, please read the street trading policy (306.8 KB) PDF which came into effect on 1 October 2014.

Our application form (78.5 KB) Word 2007 also contains guidance on how to make an application, and the supporting documents required.

Please note that we do not maintain a list of pre-identified pitches for street traders.

Any consents granted are for a maximum of 12 months, but may be shorter in certain circumstances, and all consents are issued subject to conditions. Breaches of conditions or the terms of the consent may lead to its revocation.
