Public toilets in the Vale

The council provides public toilets at a number of locations in the Vale, listed below with opening times.

Permanent public toilets

Southampton Street Car Park, Faringdon 8:30am - 6:00pm

Charter Car Park, Abingdon 8.30am - 6:00pm
Abbey Meadows, Abingdon * 8:00am - 6:00pm*

*The toilets at Abbey Meadows, Abingdon are only open all week during the summer, usually from the start of the Easter holidays to the end of September.  Otherwise they are closed Monday to Friday and only open at weekends.

We replaced the public toilets at Hales Meadow in Abingdon and Millbrook Square in Grove in early 2015.  We also refurbished the toilets in Southampton street car park in Faringdon.

Further improvements to toilets at Manor Rec in Wantage and at Abbey Meadows in Abingdon are due in 2016.

All the permanent public toilets have disabled access.

Accessible public toilets

There are accessible toilets (suitable for wheelchair users) at:

Abingdon:

  • Charter (behind the multi-storey car park)
  • Abbey Meadows
  • Hales Meadow (temporary accessible portaloo)

Botley:

  • Elms Parade

Faringdon:

  • Southampton Street

Wantage:

  • Manor Road Park
  • Portway car park

All these toilets can be accessed using radar keys.  Keys are available from the council's reception in Abbey House, Abingdon and at 135 Eastern Avenue, Milton Park.
