Garden waste

The council operates a brown bin scheme whereby garden waste is collected from outside your house and taken to a local site where it is composted for use on fields in the area.

The brown bins are 240 litres in size and are collected fortnightly, on the same day that your recycling is collected. To find out which week this will be please see our Collections page. The annual cost of this service is £36.50 per bin. In extreme circumstances biodegradable sacks are available in quantities of 50 at £36.50, but special requests must be made for this service, and will be subject to a visit to confirm suitability.
