Parking permits

You can purchase a permit for many of the car parks that we are responsible for in the Vale of White Horse. Please complete the relevant application form, which can be downloaded from the right of the page. Then send the completed form, together with the fee, to:

Please note that terms and conditions are applied to the use of any permit, and you should read and understand these before buying a permit.

Unless there are special circumstances, monthly permits will be issued from the 1st of the month. Please note there is a £12 fee to cover administration costs in the event of a lost or damaged permit. Refunds can only be made in respect of whole months remaining, and there will be a charge of £10 to cover administrative costs.

Residential permits (proof of residency is required)

Abingdon - Residential parking permits are available for the Audlett Drive, Cattle Market, Abbey Close, Rye Farm, Hales Meadow and West St Helen Street at a cost of £271 (new £287) annually or £136 (new £144)for six months. The West St Helen Street permit is only available to residents of Winsmore Lane, St. Edmunds Lane, St. Helens Mews, High Street & Lombard Street. Annual Queen Street/Market Place permits are £550 (new £596) and only available for the residents and traders in the Bury Street precinct.

Faringdon - Annual residential parking permits are available for Gloucester Street car park for £112 (new £119).

Wantage - Annual residential parking permits are available for the Portway car park for £112 (new £119)but only available for residents of Church Street, Newbury Street, Market Place and Portway. Limborough Road/Mill Street permits available for £135.00 (new £143) annually and £67 (new £71) for six months. Both areas have limited spaces available.

School permits

These are available for the Gloucester Street in Faringdon and Portway in Wantage. For Portway these cost £10 (new £10.60) for ten minutes per school term. For Gloucester Street there is a 20-minute permit for £10 (new £10.60) per school term.
