Sutton Courtenay Neighbourhood Plan

Sutton Courtenay Parish Council is working on creating a neighbourhood plan to influence the way their area grows and develops into the future.

What’s happening now?

Independent Examination

The publicity period on the draft plan that will be submitted for examination concluded on Wednesday 7 June 2023. The draft plan documents and comments received during the publicity period have now been submitted for independent examination.

Andrew Ashcroft has been appointed by the district council to carry out the examination. The examiner’s role is to make recommendations on the draft plan, and ultimately recommend if the plan should proceed to referendum.

The examiner issued a Clarification Note, which sets out initial comments on the submitted plan and areas where further clarification would be helpful. Sutton Courtenay Parish Council provided a response to the examiner’s Clarification Note.
