Make a planning application now

Due to the Coronavirus outbreak our offices continue to be closed, therefore we are all working remotely.  Due to the current circumstances our responses , including validation and determination of applications, will take longer.  Your patience is appreciated.

Please note a change in our business hours over the Christmas period.  Our offices will close 14:00  Friday 24 December 2021 and will re-open 08:30 Tuesday 4 January 2022.  Any planning applications or post submitted after 14:00 on 24 December, including electronic submissions will be treated as having been received on our next working day, Tuesday 4 January 2022.

If you haven’t already done so, check to see if you need planning permission here.

If you do need permission, before you make your application, make sure you’ve got everything you need – find your checklist here.

Once you’ve got everything you need, head to the Planning Portal to make your planning application online – this is the quickest way to get your application registered.

You can also download the forms from the Planning Portal, fill them in and then email them to registration@southandvale.gov.uk.  This will take longer.

Make sure any attachments are in PDF and are no bigger than 5MB.
